User Info: dovahkiin. User Info: Dayyhughes. The difference between top and bottom is Dragon and Baron. Having two bot helps early to secure Dragon. Mid is the shortest and safest lane. User Info: Metleon. Tops and Mids can usually be interchanged, since they're both typically solo lanes.
However, a champ like Twisted Fate is much better suited to mid because his ult's range lets him gank both top and bot and he has no form of escape, meaning he's best used in the shorter lane. The idea is to let the ADC kill as many minions as possible while the support keeps them safe. ADC's could potentially go into a solo lane, but they generally scale better with items than levels. This means that it's better for them to share experience with the support and kill more minions due to the safety the support provides.
Bruisers typical champs that go top and Ability Power AP carries typically scale better with levels than items, so they don't need to absolutely kill every minion. Top and mid are normally played as solo lanes while bot is a duo lane, because early game having a numbers advantage bot means easier dragons. People found over time that it's better if you don't split the minions bot lane and just give them to one person while the other one picks a champion whose abilities are used for their fixed CC effects and not damage, so they don't need as much gold.
Top is a longer lane than mid and has no early game objectives aside from the jungle monsters, so champions that go there need to be able to farm and sustain well.
They won't get to leave lane often, so you don't want to put people who are best hunting champions in the early midgame in the top lane. Zed can easily teach the mechanics of basic combos and the fundamentals of trading.
Mages are more of a standard pick that can provide massive CC in teamfights and scaling options. Options such as Orianna, Syndra, and Ryze have historically been the most prevalent, however every mage has their own distinct flair. Picking a mage you want to learn depends on what you want out of their kit, as stated every mage has a specialization. Minions can make the difference in a 1v1 scenario, as when the enemy wave is stacked, it is far more prudent to go under tower and farm your opponent.
This not only provides you with a gold advantage, but gives opportunity for your opponent to overextend for either a solo kill or gank. Pushing mid inevitably will be integral, as the midlane is the passage way to the two major objective pits in top and bottom river.
Getting early objectives such as the herald is integral to pushing out the lane and can be used to occupy the opponent as you accrue leads across the map. As stated previously, Middle lane is vulnerable to attacks from all directions. Early on vision wards around blue and red buffs can give valuable information on invading junglers. Your center placement on the map will continue to be your greatest asset as a midlaner.
Keeping your minion wave pushed is the only scenario where you can leave the lane to assist in other parts of the map. Otherwise, the enemy midlaner can cash in on your vacancy.
Some midlane champions are far better at roaming than others, as Twisted Fate, Ryze, and Galio all have global ultimates. Global ultimates allow you to traverse great distances in a matter of seconds, or return to lane after your adventure.
Roaming is great way to set up unexpected ganks, get objective priority, or to help you team in cross map skirmishes. Follow the above order if you're going in the mid lane. Remember not to attack either of the Aipoms, as they are technically not part of your lane. One clear of this will give you level 5, at which point you can go gank a lane.
The boss Pokemon Dreadnaw will also spawn in this lane! Make sure to get the Audino located in the top middle of the lane as fast as you can. This is a contested Pokemon, so you'll want to deny your enemy its experience. You'll want to bring Attackers or All Rounders to the bottom lane to best take care of Drednaw.
You could also consider a defender, as Drednaw can be a bit hard to take on for a solo squishy Attacker. All Rights Reserved. Tweet Share Have some feedback?
