A portal to the Molten Core is fairly deep into the instance, but it's mainly for show. A quest completed in BRD allows you to teleport into MC, negating the need to run 40 or quite a bit less these days raiders through the instance just to enter.
BRD is also home to the Black Forge and Black Anvil, which were required to create raiding gear primarily fire resist. Blackrock Depths is the largest instance in the game. It is the first instance where a substantial amount of the loot would last into the post-leveling end-game.
If you enter from Searing Gorge, climb up on the giant chain that appears to your left and go down onto the big rock suspended in the center. Follow the stairs down and exit downwards onto the chain at the bottom. The quest giver for MC attunement is straight ahead and a passage leads right to get to the instance. Bear left in the cave and the instance is at the end of the chamber. Blackrock Depths is very non-linear: there's many ways to go through, and because of the sheer size, you'll probably want to pick and choose the encounters rather than running the whole thing in one sitting.
Some of the more interesting things to do: the Ring of Law , a random boss in an arena, the Dark Coffer , which spawns the holder of a key to a chest in a random location, and the Grim Guzzler, a mid-instance bar that features a couple vendors and several boss encounters.
Blackrock Depths Boss map: the average time to complete the entire instance is 4—6 hours due to its complexity: a large amount of mobs and bosses, several scripts, and many quests. In a sentimental way Comment by has anyone actually finished BRD in a group? Comment by Yeh I would say this is a very hard instance to do. The mobs are placed in these huge groups that are very annoying. Yeh I have done it twice both times the groups I was with wiped. Not just once but a few times. Maybe we just didnt have the right group composition maybe cause Im a ret Pally. This will take a day to do, and I'm not kidding it is large and there are a lot of mobs.
I think the place is a bout as big as one of the capital cities maybe bigger. And be prepared for patrols, and lots of adds. And make sure you have a dedicated healer for this not someone who specs in combat but can heal aka a shadow priest, or a ret pally. Comment by what level to enter this place? Comment by An huge, epic, nonlinear instance filled with more quests, bosses and events than you could ever possibly do in one sitting.
They don't make 'em like this anymore. Comment by I, never completed "Blackrock Depths" fully because, you'll end up dieing then another person then another then people leave group and rez sickness and leave it's what i hate and i never get that, Savage gladiator stuff! Comment by You will need to run this instance at least 3 times to complete all the quest chains, and it is definately advisable that any groups you run with are well balanced. I have ran this instance in a few unbalanced groups and really struggled to get anywhere.
The respawns in this instance are quite annoying as well, especially if you wipe protect that healer! Comment by You are able to enter the instance at lvl40, it is not recommended tho. Comment by There is a shortcut to the emp, which allows you to skip many annoying mobs and bosses if done correctly.
In the same room as Lord Incendius, go to the lower bridge, and look for a large, molten rock. Jump down on it. Get your health up, then get in the lava and swim over to a small ledge, get on. There is a rock in the middle of the lava, swim over. Swim to the next ledge, and get full health and mana. The whole group should go at this time, because on the last rock nearest the bridge there are 4 elementals you need to fight. Kill them, then swim over to the bridge.
You are there! Also, elementals swim in the lava, so keep an eye out for them. I recommend you jump as much as possible while swimming. Good luck :P. Comment by As a mage on lvl 70 and in rather decent gear I can solo this entire instance, the emperor is a bit of a bitch though as he likes to make himself immune to all damage and frequently spams "hand of thaurissan" on you which is a direct damage fire based spell followed by a lengthy stun.
Excellent source for large brilliant shards if you're an enchanter, and it's always nice paying this old epic instance a visit, wish there was some form of equivalent on lvl Comment by how much XP i can get in one run through this instance on lvl48?
Comment by Appears that the loot in here is also receiving some nice upgrades in 2. Comment by Shei77 hm.. Comment by really long instance. Comment by blazingpenguin The lowest level you can zone in is Comment by Easily the largest instance in wow. Clearing it all will take about hours. But if you're in a guild group it's totally worth it!!! Comment by A good way to get your lockpicking skill up.
My skill was at when I went back in here. The door to the left is unlockable. The text was yellow at Once you unlock the door, run out, reset, and repeat. Comment by bleh, when did they nerf the flamekeepers part? Now any deathmute level 60 could solo that room :. Comment by Finished most of the instance in about 2 and a half hours everything except the seven, emperor, and a few other bosses.
Probably could have done a full clear in about 3 and a half. I'd recommend the tank be at least level 54 or 55 after the fixes, since the pulls are quite large in some places. Comment by i go there and it says i have to be in a raid to do it is it possible to go in by myself im a level Comment by Would a lvl 70 lock with 3 gladiator 1 mercilas and 1 veng SL SL b able 2 solo this? Comment by there is a shortcut threw the lava from the black anvil directly to the last boss just swim threw lava if ur on streamwheedle cartel ill tell u im Qwertyyeag 56 mm hunter.
Comment by Gigantic dungeon located in Blackrock Mountain, Personally, I have never finished this in 1 sitting : Much too big, don't see them like this anymore. If you are in a guild with several 70s who are willing to take you through go for it. However, one bad group will make you hate the dungeon and never run it again. I cut my wrists and cryed myself to sleep when my BRD run took 6hours untill we gave up.
Comment by why couldnt blizzard make more of these types of dungeons? So as you can see, the bar lives up to its name. Comment by wingsofscion Some thoughts on BRD as a whole, after running through it on a dps warlock , a tank warrior , and now a healer shaman. I have, overall, had some really good groups for this instance - but also have had some horrible, horrible groups that have made me hate the instance overall. In general, though, it is one of the best instances in the game, just because it is involving and the dynamics of the instance change from one area to another.
CC - Warlocks and Mages are both excellent cc for this instance, with plenty of things to banish and sheep. Even from the get-go, most of the cc is going to almost require mages or warlocks because of the huge pulls.
With a level-requisite group it actually is for LFG queueing, I believe, maybe as high as 60 , it's hard to go through this instance without more than one cc. A priest, I found as of tonight, is also really good cc for Mind Control - granted, the priest should not be the healer. A rogue is also good to have for sap, and hunters for freezing trap.
AoE - Lots of stuff to AoE in here, especially if you have a half-decent pally tank. Just about anyone can AoE, but mages and warlocks are still great for this. Multi-mob pulls - Especially as a druid or warrior tank, you get a LOT of experience multi-mob tanking here. I think that with my warrior, BRD was invaluable to my tanking experience.
You're using just about every cooldown you can with almost every large pull, especially when you don't have a lot of cc, which tends to be the case more often than not Murphy's Law and all that. It is a very difficult instance to heal at any level, but may get exceedingly difficult without being at least level Just remember to get your group to understand that you will need mana often, as some pulls can be incredibly stressful. We didn't get to do the bar, or the Seven, but had hit every boss before that so, we still had Phalanx and every boss after that - though we did get Fineous and Incendious.
Even then, though, there are many different routes one could take through BRD. Remember that you, as a tank, should pull. BRD really is a huge pve "l2p" tutorial for just about every class out there, from cc to tanking to dpsing to just general group coordination.
It's something to definitely consider, as some of the items may last into Outland most, maybe not, but some of the stuff may be a little more difficult to replace, such as the druid idol.
Comment by Discolando Does anyone know what opens or closes the giant door at the end of the Dark Iron Highway that leads to Incendius? There are times when I will kill Bael'Gar and then run down the Highway to kill Incendius, but the giant door is not open. There are other times when it is open Anyone know? By the way, I'm not referring to the gate that requires the Shadowforge Key I'm referring to the giant 5 story door that blocks the way to Incendius at the opposite end of the DI Highway from Bael'Gar.
Comment by Samad How do you do the torch room. I had a really good grp we cleared everything with no wipes but there were a few deaths here and there. We didnt have much trouble up until the torch it was the first time most of had gotten that far but we wiped twice there and our healer broke all his stuff.
So back to my question how do you do the torch room? Loot their torches and activate both braziers to open the door. Braziers are near them. Comment by Urden this dungeon was so tough pre BC. I completed is only once, that was at level 60 with 4 other 60's. It has been upgraded. There is a band that plays every night at 8pm server time there is a drumset set up and everything! Both of whom are wielding the Season 4 2h Mace.
Griz Gutshank also sells the PvP Gems regularly purchased with honor for arena points. I'm still waiting for the band to come on, about 15 minutes to go, I will update once I hear them play, should be excellent! Comment by can some one tell me how to close the door that leads to the grim guzzler? Comment by sephiroth1 unless u have very good Comment by Wezagred Yeh, I was just in there on my alliance tank I really don't mean to sound abraisive but I simply couldn't get this point across last night in three seperate pug groups.
Stealthers out there, please please please for the love of Thrall listen to your tank. They're not trying to make your lives difficult most of the time , they're just trying to save the group. Dwarf central. Most groups panic. If you're fortunate enough to have one of the few with you who has already attempted and succeeded at reaching the King, then kudos to you, chances are you don't need what I'm about to say.
If you happen to be someone who has never attempted this before, before you run off and Jenkins the entire place allow me to shed some light. The groups respawn here continuously until you light the torches 2. There are several large patrolling groups that could mean an insta-wipe if you're not careful, mark their position and track their movement to avoid them at all points! Due to the respawn you must keep moving, this means little to know drink time, ready up your potions and just try and move through the room as quickly as possible.
If you have a rogue or a druid in your party, toss lead to them and have them stealth and mark the torch bearers, this makes life so much easier as you progress through the room as you'll have a much better idea of where you're going. With that said you should be well prepared to at least attempt this area. Soulstones will not buy you a second chance due to the fact that the mobs will respawn before your healer can soulstone and rez anyone. Use druids battle res if in the occassion that your healer goes down.
After everything has been marked torch bearers as well as large patrolling armies find your best path and stick to it. If you miss your mark the torch bearer will respawn, at which point you'll simply have to move backwards and grab him again. Each torch is guarded by an elite fire elemental that shouldn't do much more than get in the way. Whoever does loot the bearer should shout out when they have the torch and upon reaching the pedestal they need to make lighting the torch a priority, everyone else tackle the mobs, that one person hit the torch.
Comment by BRD is so much fun, and so much profit, and just so much good memories I can still remember a conversation between me and my friend: "Hey, you know how the BRD is different from the Scarlet? Comment by Ok I took the food off the table and every one in the Grim Guzzler turned red to me and started attacking me is this perminet or will it reset whent the inctance resets?
Comment by Can someone please tell me how to get to the bar in BFD? I've never done this instance before and neither have any of my friends, so I don't know how to get there. I am a prot pally as well but I was given the task of keeping them alive as the 70 pally had a tendency to bite off more than he could chew, so to speak. Personally, it was hell. We wiped many times. Perhaps my bad first experience has ruined it for me but in my opinion, I'd rather just skip it. Even so, it is a must at least once for everyone.
And when you see all those arena spectators and such, make sure you smack a few. Warning: Gratuitous 'smacking' of arena spectators may cause a wipe. Comment by BRD is a hard instance mabye Comment by for a rogue, whats the minimum lockpicking skill to lockpick the shadowforge door?
Comment by Hi all i'm a 71 warrior with the dark moon cards crusade and wrath and i want to know if you have disenchant and run this instance after selling and killing every thing in here what amount of gold did you make money from killing mobs drops disenchants? Comment by U guys think i can do this as a lvl 51 feral druid?
Comment by exowizard can any1 link the rough location of where about it blackrock mountin plz? Comment by Wanna know what would be cool? A Heroic version of this. But then again it will take TOO long. Remember to talk to him twice. Also, look up and start as many of the pre-instance quest chains as you can. There is a LOT to do in the instance. See the individual quest descriptions for information on how to complete them. Take the first tunnel to the right of the entrance going in and clear the first loop.
Alternately, you can go down the center if you don't want to have to clear all the mobs on the loop. Kill High Interrogator Gerstahn at the back of the loop to get the cell door key.
Finish any quests involving the cells that you have. Next, when you have finished the first loop, proceed to the next loop, starting at the Second tunnel you get to on the right hand wall as you come out of the first loop You're basically doing a big "Figure 8" to clear both loops - Be sure to kill Houndmaster Grebmar at the lower gear area, and Lord Roccor the patrolling elemental. When you have finished the second loop, enter the big empty-looking arena on your right to proceed to: 2 Ring of Law If you want to go directly here, skipping the houndmaster and Interrogator, proceed to the third tunnel to your left from the entrance at the first big room.
Get the entire group inside the room before starting the event. To start the event, one character must walk to the center of the arena. The group should reposition themselves to keep the agro off the casters and healers as each wave comes in. After two waves of non-elite mobs, a random boss will spawn. Once that boss is defeated, the gate will open to Clear the mobs in here, and double back up the ramp next to the tunnel you enter from. It leads back to the viewing area above the arena.
Lots of non elites here with a few elites mixed in. Kill em all and exit at the other side, to get to First, turn right and kill Pyromancer Loregrain to clear the statue area. Then head the other direction to the bank. Clear the dwarves from the rooms above, then proceed downstairs to the bank. Kill Warder Stilgliss and Open the Dark Keeper Portrait to the left of the door leading into the vault and look at the plaque to spawn the Dark Keeper.
Assuming that you have enough keys by now, open all of the relic vaults to spawn Watchman Doomgrip and activate the guardians. Open the secret treasure. When you defeat the Dark Keeper and get the Dark Coffer key, come back here to loot the coffer.
Those who need to can now double back to the statue where you killed Pyromancer Loregrain and use the hammer on the statue to get the Shadowforge Key. This is a good time to kill Dark Keepers Zimrel or Pelver in the arena spectator area, or the tunnel leading to Pyromancer Loregrain's area, respectively.
Once you're done with these objectives, proceed past Darkvire to This is basically a straight shot. Kill Lord Incendius and proceed down the tunnel to the end for Bael'Gar.
By now you should have the Shadowforge Key, so take the tunnel back towards the entrance, opening the gates with the Shadowforge key to return to If you had the Shadowforge key to start with, you can skip straight to here, if you want to skip the Dark Coffer or go back for it later. Go to the big gear on the lower level, and use the Shadowforge Key on the device blocking the gear from turning.
Then head north and clear all the gnomes and golems from the next room, then kill Golem Lord Arglemach. Finally, proceed across the bridge over the lava, guarded by fire elementals to Sell stuff at the bartender, kill Dark Keeper Vorfalk if he's the one who spawned. Easiest way to get out is to buy 6 ale mugs from the barkeep and talk to Rocknot, giving him the ale mugs 2 at a time. He'll go mess with the kegs and accidentally break down the exit door.
If you plan on coming through a lot, you can do the Love Potion quest for the succubus waitress and, next time you come back and every time thereafter, you can just talk to her and get her to open the door. Alternately, a rogue can pick the barkeeps pocket to get the door key. Once you get through the door, it's on to Keep the little fire elementals away from him and he's a fairly easy boss.
Hang a left turn to Clear the golems and Casters Head on through the next doorway to: 10 The Seven Dwarves. Then, go to the far end and talk to the dwarf there to challenge the seven dwarves to battle.
They agro on you at about one minute intervals, and they're fairly tough. There won't be much time to rest between them either, so be ready with some mana potions and healing potions. After beating them down, the next door unlocks to The molten core entrance and the core fragement you need for Attunement to the Core are across the large one. Once you finish your business here, unlock the next door to get to The dwarves respawn very quickly. Best bet is to work your way around the edges of the room, keeping in a very tight group.
Have good agro-grabbers to keep the dwarves off the casters. Light the two big braizer-torches after killing their guardians to unlock the door to You have successfully navigated Blackrock Depths.
For example: You can jump through a window in the East garrison onto a ledge and then down onto the pathway between Bael'Gar and the black anvil. You can jump into the lava at the black anvil or at Ambasador Flamelash and hop-skip-jump north to the islands in the lava better have an agro-dump ability This gets you past without having to fight the seven dwarves to smelt dark iron.
The Shadowforge key can bypass a lot. Edit: Got Flamelash and Foundry backwards. The instance difficulty was set to Heroic but someway we entered, then MC didnt let us in cause it was set to Heroic and we had to Heartstone and go again. When you get in, there is the door that needs the key, and there is a hallway, where you can just go through From there, you can acess the rest of the instance, except for the last 6 bosses the total bosses are 22 which are from lvl If your tank is less than lvl 57, don't go to the last 6 bosses, because you simply won't make it Even with 1 lvl 60 healer, and 3 lvl 60 DPS, if the tank is less than 57, you will die, no matter what, especially in the room before Magmus, where you have to kill 2 mobs that drop some torches, while mobs are respawning 5 seconds after they die So, if you want to kill the last bosses too, you'd better get a good tank, with patience and understanding.
Last time I did it, tank was lvl 62, rest were , and I was 55 healer We did everything so easy, that I barely did 1 regrowth to the tank after each boss But before Magmus, where those little creepy things spawn So if you want to get the achievement, find a good tank and a good healer to do it, some CC would also be nice Comment by If you have any plans at all later. Do not start this instance. I have personally not finished this instance with a full group after 3 hours.
I recommend getting the key. Going theough the non-key areas. After beating them down, the next door unlocks to The molten core entrance and the core fragement you need for Attunement to the Core are across the large one.

I recommend getting the key. Going theough the non-key areas. Then going back the next day for the key-only areas. Comment by What level is required to enter this instance? Comment by A very well geared and skilled warlock looking for a challenge is able to solo most of the trash here. It's rough at points, but thoroughly enjoyable. I'm affliction, so I imagine Demonology would have an easier time keeping their Void alive.
I haven't tried any bosses though. It's also a nice opportunity to brush up on your threat management skills in high stress situations with more than one mob involved.
No need to say it, but this is a fantastic way to grind experience if you're bored with quests. Being rested can get you experience on the elites. Comment by Gravelord This is a very long instance indeed, but a very fun one too. I ran this last night for 3 hours and another half with a very decent group. We only got 1 wipe at Emperor gauntlet event and that was all. We downed every boss and it was a very fun experience. It was more of a raid dungeon. I wish it was a raid dungeon in old times maybe it was I can't remember I never did a full run of BRD in or Comment by For achi hunters, this can be done under one hour with l80, even without shadowforge key.
Then jump down swim to the bridge, go up and you will be next to the Lyceum. If you have shadowforge key just go to the left to highway and directly to Lord Incendius.
Comment by p51mustang24 "They don't make 'em like this anymore" On my lvl 53 pally I ran through this yesterday with a nice group. We moved a good pace and downed 10 bosses. Today however, I was not so lucky. My group was This is the first instance where player skill begins to matter. One full clear with all some-odd bosses down will gain a full level, and likely much more. Comment by Excellent instance, this was really fun. Reading the posts above was very helpful, particular in finding the torches.
Our group consisted of an 80 hunter BM specced, and a 80 mage arcane specced - wiped once, as we went straigth for Emperor Thaurissan, not noticing the plethora of mobs in the room, killed almost all of them before wiping so took the last ones when we got back.
Comment by Oasis Heh never noticed this before but on the wall on the right when you enter The Grim Guzzler is hiding a picture of Ragnaros, you have to be parallel looking towards the entrance on the wall so see it.
Comment by I did this with a 70 feral drood pre WotLK lol. Full run, took maybe an hour and a half but he was full T6 at the time. It'd be so cool in this place if the mobs stayed dead and friendly npc's spawned :D new city loloololololol but seriously, when this place is cleared and in the later parts of the instance, it really seems if it was a city that a massive Ally raid took down. Comment by If u are going to run here with a group at the instance lvl, be prepared to spend some time: This instance is massive!
But it sure is a place for a nice, long and challanging adventure! Loads of Bosses to take down, loads of areas to explore, and much more for the ones that wants to test their skills :. Comment by I was pretty confused on how to get to the instance.
Rez when have Pt. Head down that chain and go to the MC attunement giver. Go through that until you are able to turn right at the masonry, follow that tunnel to the instance portal. Comment by Lol. In the ring of justice, after killing Ok'Thor, 4 of our group members including me got trapped in his cage because he killed him inside it.
The one outside brought us some enemies so we could die or have the two warriors use charge to get out, but sadly we engaged in combat so quickly we could not use charge, and we easily killed them.
Oh and the person locked outside died Comment by Currently still the largest instance in the game, if I am not mistaken at least, 5-man. This quest was one of the endgame 5-mans for Vanilla WoW. It's one of my favorite instances - it has everything from rooms full of hostile dwarves to labyrinths of hallways to a bar where, get this, the enemies aren't hostile initially. The downside is it takes a very long time to fully clear, but it's worth every last second you spend.
You do not need the Shadowforge Key to enter, but to get to the last few rooms it's a requirement. Comment by Thottbot A rogue with sufficient Lockpicking skill can get through most if not all the doors. I'm skill and haven't found a door yet that I can't pick in BRD :. It makes a run go so much smoother with one.
They can banish the elementals, making it so much easier on groups, and they can enslave the demon dog near the vault, making that fight, and the one right after with all the golems a piece o cake.
Then all the obvious benefits you get from a warlock - SS, Healthstones, Summons, all that. Comment by Thottbot I have been looking for a guide, that explains how to deal with the events before Thaurissan, and Thaurissan himself.
Though i found lots of tips for Thaurissan i didnt get to see him still. Problems were the huge room with fast respawns, and then thereafter the lesser problem Magmus. During he is engaged with the flame keepers, the 4 other go for the groups. This will only work with decent AoE, like a mage with iAE or a lock with imp. A priest wont do the job good, his AE isn't cheap enough. Everyone should have bread, water lv55 and potions ready.
Kill the elementals the Fireplaces in the eastern half of the room. You'd best go for the one in the soth first. This has to be done within 3 minutes after the first torch was placed or you will wipe. When the 2nd torch was placed, you have done the hard part.
Go into the hall east to you. Magmus: There is no difficulty in the boss hisself, but in the Environment. There are statues, that will breathe fire dealing DoT of about fire damage per 2 seconds. The wall is separated into black sections by white pillars, and the statues only will appear only every 2nd section.
Also, in each section there are either no statues, or statues on both sides. In either of the situations, everyone is supposed to check, if the fire cone reaches him, and if so, step aside.
Then its an easy kill. Thaurissan: The mobs in front of him are to be killed. They are eays trash-mobs most of which arent even elite. Now ask if anyone has the Thaurissan quest. Dont touch the princess or the quest will fail. After quite a short time, the princess will turn against the priest.
He now only has to heal hisself, sometimes shielding the others. If he does, he also grows in size. If noone has the quest, first kill the princess, then kill thaurissan.
I will be updating the guide with images when i next kill him. Comment by Thottbot To enter the instance at all, you must be level 40, otherwise it won't let you in. Going in at level 40 is useless, as finding a group is beyond unlikely, and doing anything basically impossible. Comment by Thottbot This is probably the last dungeon you should be running pre-Outland. After this point, the gear isn't worth the time for instancing, at it's only a matter of levels until your gear gets replaced.
I know that there are special cases i. I have been ther 26 times in the last 5 days. I have dinged from Level 53 thru 58 inside there. Just today i went there 7 times in a row then did stratholme and finally 4 of us just went to blackrock Spire for kicks n did pretty good for a 4 man group i must say. Myself Lvl 58 warriors, lvl 55 warrior, lvl 54 pally n lvl 51 priest.
In those 26 trips of mine, I was grouped with various combinations. The Best combination I found to be 3 warriors 1 paly and 1 priest - man trust me.. Our favourite priest happens to be lvl 51, we tried a few others lvl 56 and lvl 62 but they sucked. This guy was like an angel from heaven - there is never a moment I have even looked at my health bar when he's around. If my health went below half, that would mean he was dead. I know the place like the palm of my hand now : I stopped questing at level 56 i think - theyre too complicated and being a working man - I cant possibly take time out to go thru the headache of figuring out things instead of leveling - so I generally only do quests people share inside the instance.
Also, the reason I liked BRD is it doesnt feel like a grind - its like a survivor episode in there. I have been lucky to get angerforges axe and the fiery wrath polearm. There is no key, or process for it. To get to it, enter Blackrock Mountain, and go to the top of the circle.
You'll see some chains that lead down to an area in the center of the mountain. There's a small ramp up to one of the chains, so go up that, and run down the chain. Then follow the doors and paths down around to the bottom. There is a second chain, and be careful not to fall off the ledges. When you get to the bottom, you'll see a guy in a little cutout. He's the guy for MC, so turn around, take a few steps back, and there's a door that goes inside.
Pretty much head straight after you get in there, and after a few mobs, you'll see a pathway, like a bridge almost. There's a patroling fire elemental who is the objecet of a quest, if you have it , but the instance entrance is at the end of that lane, on your right. People HATED running it, because it took five or six hours to do, and people would leave, and new people would arrive, and items were easy to ninja.
Now, in the year , three or four Lv. The drops are very good, and if you know where you're going and the quickest routes to each boss, you can clear them all in under an hour. Other major instances for some nice gear for your Lv. In any case, all the people who said they hate this instance and want it to burn in hell, now have the chance at Lv. It's fun :D. Comment by Thottbot i ran BRD with a good group 56 loc 57 warrior 53 hunter i believe 52 mage me 62 druid balence spec, but healer we made it to the bar, smashed the kegs and beat the boss that comes in, and then went up stairs.
Comment by Thottbot BRD is without question my favorite instance of all time. There are many quest chains that feed into BRD. You can have like 9 quests in your log going in. If you are in a PUG that is doubly so. Pick 2 or 3 quests that are near each other and do them.
The quest is picked up from a ghost in the center section outside the instance when you are dead. Make sure everybody picks it up on the first wipe. If your group is around the intended level about 55 you will get creamed if you don't use crowd control, keep aggro off the healer, and prevent runners. Banish or kill them first every time they are in a pull. Save the princess. You must get through the the Lyceum, which is amazingly hard compared to all dungeon content in the game up to this point, IMO.
Unless you have some high levels or veterans in your group you are going to wipe many times. Google it.
